Today's City Moves cover audit advisory, asset managing and oil and gas. Take a look at these movers and shakers:

Leading national audit, tax and advisory firm Crowe Clark Whitehill has appointed Nigel Bostock as chief executive from 1 September. Bostock will take on the role after four years as managing partner of Crowe’s London office. This autumn he will celebrate the commencement of his 27th year with the firm, having joined as a graduate trainee in 1991. A partner in the corporate and professional practices groups since 2005, Bostock advises a wide range of large, private and SME clients. Bostock succeeds David Mellor who will step down from 1 September.

London & Capital

London & Capital, the independently owned wealth and asset manager, has appointed Simon Tuck as head of UK wealth, effective immediately. Simon is joining London & Capital as it enters a significant period of growth and expansion, with a number of new hires being brought in to further improve the services available to clients. Simon will be based in London, reporting to Daniel Freedman, managing director and founder. In his new role, Simon will focus on UK professional clients and has an expert understanding of the challenges successful, and influential, investors face and the need to provide an all-encompassing service. Simon joins from Weatherbys Private Bank, where he focused on providing sophisticated personal financial planning advice to high net worth clients. Prior to this, Simon was head of financing planning at C.Hoare & Co. He is one of a relatively few number of planners qualified as both a certified financial planner through the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and chartered financial planner through the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Touchstone Exploration

Touchstone Exploration, an oil and gas exploration and production company active in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, has appointed Peter Nicol as non-executive director with immediate effect. His appointment is in line with the company’s stated intention to appoint a UK based independent non-executive director to the company’s board of directors subsequent to admission to the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange. Peter has over 30 years of oil and gas experience in both industry and finance and is currently non-executive director, chair of the audit committee and member of the remuneration committee of Eco (Atlantic) Oil and Gas. He was previously a partner at GMP Securities Europe as the head of oil and gas research and also held positions including global sector director of oil and gas research at ABN AMRO Bank NV and head of European oil and gas research at Goldman Sachs Group.
