Jaguar's at it again.

The car giant has provided a tantalisingly small glimpse of its latest vehicle: its new compact SUV, the E-Pace.

It will be revealed in all its glory on 13 July, with prices starting at £28,500.

The baby SUV has a lot to live up to, joining Jaguar's family of performance SUVs, after the F-Pace helped bump up sales for the marque by 83 per cent last year.

The highly anticipated I-Pace Concept is also on the horizon, with Jaguar's first all-electric car going into production next year.

For the £28,500 entry price, you'll pick up a four-wheel drive car with a six-speed manual gearbox, though most versions will have an eight-speed auto box.

Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, said: "The combination of sports car looks with Jaguar performance will ensure that the E-Pace stands out. Every Jaguar is designed to excite the senses, and we think E-Pace will do just that, albeit with its own individual character."

Earlier this week Jaguar Land Rover announced it was on the hunt for 5,000 engineers and technical staff over the next year, in a move which will boost its domestic workforce by just under 15 per cent to 42,000 employees.
