Transport for London has advised commuters to avoid Finsbury Park station where possible, following last night's attack in the area.

One man has died and eight people have been injured after a van was driven into pedestrians near Finsbury Park mosque in Seven Sisters Road, north London, in the early hours of this morning.

Police are treating the incident as a "potential terrorist attack".

TfL warned Finsbury Park station is likely to be very crowded today, and may be closed temporarily during peak times, as the police continue their investigation.

This will affect Piccadilly and Victoria Line trains.
