Liontrust, the specialist fund management group, has hired Oisín O’Leary as assistant fund manager on the Liontrust European income team. Oisin will support fund manager Olly Russ in running both the Liontrust European income and Liontrust European enhanced income funds. According to FE data, the Liontrust European enhanced income fund is the highest yielding in the Investment Association’s Europe ex-UK sector with an historic yield of 4.45 per cent, while the Liontrust European income fund comes third, with an historic yield of 3.71 per cent. Oisín joins Liontrust from Argonaut Capital Partners, where he was an investment analyst. Oisin has previously worked as an investment analyst at Maris Capital, and a debt capital markets analyst at HSBC.
Livingstone has appointed Krishan Raval, Joe Austin and Dustin Stevens, in its London office, as it invests further to enhance its team and respond to clients’ demand for the firm’s services. Krishan joins Livingstone’s debt advisory team. Krishan trained and qualified as a chartered accountant with EY working in the capital and debt advisory team for almost three years. While there he gained experience with a number of high profile clients raising finance through a variety of debt market instruments. Dustin qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte working in South Africa and Chicago where he gained experience with clients across a variety of sectors. In 2015 Dustin moved to KPMG’s deal advisory team in the Channel Islands focusing on corporate finance transactions for financial services companies before joining Livingstone in 2017. After graduating from the University of Sheffield in 2013 with first class honours, Joe Austin qualified as a chartered accountant at KPMG where he worked in the corporate finance team as an assistant manager, providing valuation services to businesses, transactions and funds across a variety of industries.
Timothy Dutton CBE QC has joined the board of Burford Holdings, one of Burford Capital’s principal subsidiaries, as a non-executive director. Timothy will also serve as chairman of Burford Holdings’ investment committee. Voted regulatory silk of the year in 2010, Timothy was head of chambers at Fountain Court from 2008 to 2013. He has advised and acted in hundreds of cases concerning almost all fields of regulated activity, and is ranked by both Chambers UK and Legal 500 as a leading silk and a star individual. He served as chairman of the Bar Council in 2008, chairman of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers 2009-2015 and is a deputy High Court judge.
