Temperatures in the capital are expected to soar this week, hitting highs of 27 degrees on Wednesday.
London is set to experience “a dry and mostly sunny day with only a little fair weather cloud developing through the afternoon” on Wednesday, the Met Office said.
Today, those in the Southern parts of the UK will experience dry and warm temperatures with plenty of sunshine through the day.
But alas, showers are predicted for Thursday afternoon as the weather cools, turning increasingly breezy - although temperatures will remain warm at 23 degrees.
In weekend forecasts, the Met Office reports there is a chance that central and southeastern areas of England could reach as high as 30°C.
This is due to high pressure "building from the south west and warm air being drawn up from the Azores, the south will see some warm and sunny weather redeveloping from late Friday through into the weekend", Chief Meteorologist Steve Ramsdale said.
