Severn Trent boss Olivia Garfield's pay package stood at £2.45m last year, the water group's annual reports revealed yesterday.
Garfield, who became chief executive in 2014, took home a salary of nearly £674,000 while her long-term incentives topped £970,000. She also received a bonus of £615,000 and pension payments of £168,000.
Before joining Severn Trent, Olivia was chief executive of Openreach, part of the BT Group, where she oversaw the commercial roll-out of fibre broadband to two-thirds of the country. She joined BT in 2002 and held roles including group director of strategy and regulation.
The FTSE-100 firm, revealed last month that it has raised its dividend from 80.66p a share to 81.50p after underlying pre-tax profit rose to £525.1m for the year ended 31 March, from £503.4m a year earlier.
