Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino insists Chelsea are favourites for their FA Cup semi-final clash at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.

Pochettino's team are on a scintillating run of form ahead of their meeting with the Premier League leaders, having won eight games in a row, scoring 28 goals and conceding just four as they've cut the gap to Chelsea to just four points.

Yet the Argentinian manager insists the Blues' experience and pedigree both on the pitch and in the dugout, gives them the advantage this weekend.

"If there's a favourite it's Chelsea because they are on the top of the table and because of the experienced players they have and the manager that they have," he said.

"We are talking about a team that has won a European competition, has a manager that won the league with Juventus in Italy.

"It's a more experienced team than us, but we're in a good moment — a hungry team."

Chelsea ended Spurs' title hopes last season when they came back from 2-0 down to deny the visitors a win at Stamford Bridge in May.

Pochettino says his young team has learned lessons in the months since and called on his players to demonstrate their progression by seizing the moment at Wembley.

"We have improved a lot," he said. "The team is playing in a good way, exciting football, scoring goals and not conceding not too many goals.

"Now is the moment to show and to translate that feeling into reality. You can say that, at the end of the season, you grow up and learn if you win some titles. That's the most difficult step to achieve."
