Borussia Dortmund's Champions League fixture with Monaco has been postponed following a series of explosions shortly before kick-off.

The Bundesliga team's bus was hit by the blasts outside their hotel on Tuesday evening, as they prepared to travel to Signal Iduna Park for the match.

Dortmund's Spanish defender Marc Bartra was taken to hospital with injuries, the club added.

European governing body Uefa announced that the quarter-final, first leg game would be put back almost 24 hours, to Wednesday at 5:45pm UK time.

Dortmund advised fans that their tickets would remain valid for the rescheduled match against Monaco.
