Cushman & Wakefield

Property and real estate consultants Cushman & Wakefield has expanded its London and south east team with the recruitment of John Howells as a partner to strengthen its development function within the business space advisory team. For the past five years, John has run his own business advising utility companies, developers, infrastructure businesses and other corporates on the disposal and acquisition of development land. He has also provided wider corporate real estate advice to a wide range of the UK’s best known utility giants – notably in the power and water industries. He will bring his existing client relationships and instructions with him. John will be based in Cushman & Wakefield’s Portman Square, London W1 offices although he will continue to spend two-three days each week working at client sites.

BDO

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has appointed a new private equity partner to its growing corporate finance team. Andrew Howson joins BDO’s corporate finance stream following 11 years at EY. Based in the firm’s London office, Andrew specialises in providing buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence support to private equity investors, financial institutions, multi-nationals and fast-growth businesses. His experience in advising private equity and corporate clients spans multiple sectors across the UK and Europe, with a particular focus on business services. His experience in advising fast-growth, private equity-backed businesses will help bolster BDO’s commitment to providing the best advice to clients.

Elecosoft

Elecosoft, the Aim-listed construction software specialist, is pleased to announce the appointment of Anders Karlsson and Kevin Craig as executive director and non-executive director, respectively. Anders has over 23 years’ experience across the software development, digital and industrials sectors and has held numerous chief executive and board level positions during his career. Anders is CEO of the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Consultec Elecosoft AB, overseeing the successful expansion phase of the company’s lifecycle. Previously he held similar senior roles within the software development and digital space including CEO of Zone Systems between 2010 and 2014 and managing director at Consultec Byggprogram AB between 2005 and 2010. Kevin is founder and CEO of PLMR one of the UK’s top communication firms. Kevin has spent his career across the public and private sector advising a whole range of clients from political lobbying, PR to crisis management.
