Today's City Moves cover public relations, consulting and equities trading. Take a look at these movers and shakers:

FTI Consulting

FTI Consulting has appointed Kevin Hewitt as chairman of the firm’s Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region, which consists of 20 offices in 12 countries. Kevin, who is based in London and joined the firm in 2007, has served as co-chairman of the EMEA region since 2014 together with Chris Osborne, who has been appointed global leader of FTI Consulting’s economic consulting segment. In his new role, Kevin will have executive responsibility for driving growth across the region through new market entry, diversifying the firm’s suite of service offerings and attracting and developing people. In 2016, the EMEA region reported record revenues of $340m (£274m) and increased its billable headcount by 11 per cent compared to the prior-year period. Kevin has 27 years of experience providing refinancing and restructuring solutions to a wide range of stakeholders including lenders, corporates and private equity sponsors. He will retain his leadership and client service roles within the corporate finance and restructuring segment in EMEA.

Burton-Taylor International Consulting

Burton-Taylor International Consulting, a division of TP ICAP’s data & analytics group and a leading provider of market research, analytics and business consulting, has appointed Andy Nybo as director of its exchange vertical research practice. Andy joins the company from TABB Group where he was a managing director, having joined the group over a decade ago. He brings to the role over 30 years of experience in marketing, research and technology applications in the global capital markets. Andy’s previous roles have also included head of marketing and communications at MarketAxess Corporation, senior analyst with Tower Group and director of research at The Bond Market Association. In his new role, Andy will be building out Burton-Taylor’s comprehensive analysis of current and historical exchange share, demand segmentation and demographics, globally and regionally.

Principal Global Investors

Principal Global Investors has appointed Stuart Lawrence as senior equities trader to the global trading team. Stuart will be responsible for co-managing Principal Global Investors’ European equity trades and will be based in Principal’s London office. He will report to Gayle Wageman, who manages the global trading desk. Stuart will co-manage European dealing alongside Rogier Van de Grift, senior equity trader. Prior to joining Principal, Stuart worked as an equity sales trader at Instinet for over six years. In the past, he also worked as senior dealer for Ennismore Fund Management and was also a European market maker at ABN AMRO, where he began his career on the graduate programme.
