Optical Media storage specialist Falcon Technologies International has appointed Michael Gutowski as chief executive officer. Michael brings on board over 20 years of experience in the optical media industry, including having been CEO of Infodisc Technology in Europe and developing the firm into one of the leading players in the region. In addition to his executive positions, Michael has also served on the boards of Colonial Purchasing and Mediatech, and started his professional career in the entertainment industry working for Deluxe Video
Services.
Xerox HR Services
Xerox HR Services has promoted Vishal Makkar to head of retirement in the UK and principal, and Wes Jones to senior consulting actuary and principal. Vishal joined Xerox HR Services 15 years ago. In his new role, he will be responsible for determining long term strategy and direction for the practice, and the management and oversight of an over 100-person strong team, which includes around 50 actuaries. Previously he was the HRS Retirement Practice Leader in London. Wes joined Xerox HR Services in October 2013 as senior consulting actuary and has just been appointed a principal – in his new role he has taken responsibility for Manchester and Edinburgh-based account managers, while also becoming heavily involved in new business development. Prior to this, Wes had the role of UK pension manager for Tesco.
Kames Capital
Kames Capital has hired Martin Weiss as business development manager within the firm’s European wholesale distribution team. Reporting into Richard Dixon, head of continental European wholesale at Kames, Martin will cover accounts across Germany, including wealth managers, financial advisers, fund-of-funds, family offices, fund platforms and banks. He joins Kames from Pioneer Investments where he was a client & sales relationship manager responsible for German, Austrian and Italian clients and prospects. Prior to this, he held client relations roles at Legal & General Investment Management and Hermes Fund Managers.
Lunson Mitchenall
Lunson Mitchenall, an independent retail consultancy, has appointed Alexandra Savelli as surveyor. Alexandra will join the 40 strong team as part of the growing shopping centre leasing division, which is the largest in the market. Originally from a marketing background, Alexandra will bring a sound brand awareness and over five years’ experience in retail property from her previous roles at BNP Paribas and JLL in Glasgow. Throughout her career to date, she has gained expertise in asset management, development and in providing acquisition and disposal advice on behalf of both landlord and retailer clients.
