A bus has crashed into a shop injuring as many as 13 people in north west London.

The double decker bus crashed into a shop in Harlesden at around 2pm on Sunday.

The incident occurred at a junction with Harlesden High Street and Manor Park Road, said London Fire Brigade, which had firefighters from Park Royal, Stanmore and Wembley attending the scene.

“The building has been severely damaged so a cordon has been put in place and people have been evacuated from the area. Firefighters worked quickly to ensure there were no additional casualties. I’d ask people to avoid the area if possible as there is heavy traffic disruption,” said station manager Sam Kazmanli.

So far, 13 people are being treated at the scene and two have been taken to hospital, London Ambulance service said.
