TP Bennett
TP Bennett has added to its architectural team with a new senior director appointment. Neil Sterling joins as director to further strengthen the architectural team’s position in the commercial office, residential and retail markets. With over 16 years’ experience of front-end design and hands-on delivery, Neil’s previous role was at 3DReid, where he was divisional director. During his career, Neil has led a range of large and high-profile projects, including the Basing View masterplan, the Hyde Park Hayes masterplan' the East India Dock masterplan, Laing O’Rourke's headquarters in Dartford and multiple aviation projects, including the concept design for Male International, and King Khalid International Airports.
Smith & Williamson
Smith & Williamson, the accountancy, investment management and tax group, has announced the appointment of John Cooney as a partner. John re-joins the firm after 10 years as a partner at EY where he specialised in advising entrepreneurs, entertainers, media clients, and sports people in all aspects of their private tax and business affairs.
Pitmans
National law firm Pitmans LLP, has announced that Oliver Kelly and Matt Heyworth became partners as of 1 May 2016. Oliver works in the corporate department in Southampton. He joined Pitmans in 2014 when Pitmans merged with Lamport Bassitt, with whom he trained. He has seven-years post qualification experience and specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and general corporate and commercial matters. He has particular experience in the travel, marine/transport, technology and retail sectors. Matt specialises in all aspects of family law, including divorce, matrimonial finances, the preparation of pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and children matters. He also specialises in claims brought under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996. He has advised and represented clients in both the Family Court and the High Court. He commonly represents high net worth and high profile individuals. Matt was also formerly the vice chairman of the Thames Valley family law society.
