Streets in the heart of the City, near to the offices of Royal Bank of Scotland, have been reopened after police gave the all-clear over a suspect packaged.
Bishopsgate and Liverpool Street were closed in both directions because of an "ongoing incident", City Police said.
A City of London Police spokesman told City A.M. that a suspect package had been found in the area shortly after 10:10 am and the area had been shut down as a result.
The area was closed for around an hour before being reopened.
