Nothing says “romance” like a bottle of European sparkling wine at a bar overlooking your office. There’s Valentine’s packages for both millennials and traditionalists on offer in the swanky hotels of London’s financial quarters, so there’s no need to leave your desk at all this weekend.

In Liverpool Street, the Andaz hotel has given “Netflix and Chill” a five-star makeover with its “Bed, Flicks and Chill” package. Couples can stay in one of the luxury suites with unlimited access to the hotel’s DVD library, a prosecco and popcorn.

If like many, your commute takes you through Liverpool Street Station then this relaxed offering is perfect for getting into work on time.

Meanwhile, the City's Grange Hotels are providing two distinct V-day deals. While the package at the city branch by Tower Gateway includes board, dinner and a spa treatment, those at the Tower Bridge hotel just across the road are swapping massages for macarons with an afternoon tea included in the price.

And for those who can’t see why their date wouldn’t want to spend the weekend in Canary Wharf, the local Hilton’s Columbia Restaurant is offering a three course bitter and/or sweet menu for £45. Board not included.
