Rob Powell has been appointed claims advocacy international leader at insurance broker Marsh. Based in London, Rob will report to Michael Poulos, global head of Marsh’s client advisory services. He joined Marsh in 2014 as a managing director in the international claims advocacy practice. Before joining, Rob was global chief claims officer at Torus Insurance. He has more than 25 years’ experience in international loss adjusting, including on some of the most significant global catastrophic losses, as well as extensive practice development and management expertise.

FTI Consulting

Global business advisory firm FTI Consulting has announced the appointment of Kathleen Versland as managing director in the firm’s governance, risk & regulation practice in London. Kathleen has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector across a diverse range of roles, including sales management, product innovation, regulatory compliance and remediation, target operating model design, strategy and transformational change delivery. She joins FTI Consulting from Deutsche Bank, where she held a number of senior leadership positions throughout her 11-year tenure.


Roberto Murru has been appointed underwriter in specialist Lloyd’s of London underwriter Marketform’s growing financial lines team led by Ian West. Fluent in Italian, Roberto began his career in 1985 at Generali and, following significant time at both Syndicate 702 (RE Brown) and Brit, he joined AmTrust at Lloyd’s in 2011, where he was employed by AG Dore to start and successfully build a Financial Institutions portfolio.


Telco TalkTalk has appointed a new managing director for mobile, Jeff Dodds. He joins from Tele2, where he is currently chief executive for the Netherlands. Jeff was also formerly chief marketing officer for Virgin Media.

Tuffin Ferraby Taylor

Tuffin Ferraby Taylor (TFT), the property and construction consultancy, has made four appointments: Ashley Brudenell joins TFT’s London development and construction team from Vause Cribb & Co; chartered building surveyor Simon Davis joins the London team as project manager and comes to TFT from JLL; Craig Weir has joined TFT’s new office in Edinburgh from CKD Galbraith; and Jonathan Martin has joined TFT’s Guildford office as a chartered building surveyor from Bond Davidson.
