The property firm has appointed Archie Sykes as UK sales manager in its international residential development department. He joins from Berkeley Homes, where he was development sales manager for two London schemes. Sykes has also held roles at Hamptons International.
HENDERSON GLOBAL INVESTORS
The asset management firm has appointed Alex Mander as an associate director for its institutional business to work with UK-based consultants. He joins from Daiwa SB Investments (UK), where he worked as a business development manager. Mander has six years’ industry experience.
IG GROUP
Daniel Williams has been appointed global head of internal audit at the online trading firm. He joins from BGC Partners, where he was head of internal audit for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Williams has over 15 years’ experience in financial services.
MACQUARIE INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT
The asset management firm has appointed Gillian Evans as head of UK institutional distribution. She joins after 10 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she was responsible for building relationships with institutional clients and their advisers. Evans has also held roles at Insight Investment, having begun her career at Macquarie and Permanent Trustee in Sydney, Australia.
CME EUROPE
Joanne Shannon has been appointed executive director and head of commercial development for the London-based derivatives exchange. She joins from the London Stock Exchange, where she worked as a consultant. Shannon also has 15 years’ experience at NYSE Euronext, where she held a variety of sales and relationship management roles in Europe and Asia for its Liffe markets.
AFRICAN POTASH
The Aim-listed exploration company has appointed Peter Hain as non-executive director. He is a former foreign minister, Europe minister and energy minister, and is due to become a member of the House of Lords in November this year.
PLUTO FINANCE
The residential property lender has appointed Steffan Goold as associate. He joins from Bank of London and The Middle East, and will be focusing on Pluto’s stretched senior and mezzanine lending business.
