James Grierson has been appointed strategic adviser to the property consultancy’s public sector board. He was most recently head of public sector and corporate real estate consulting at DTZ (now Cushman & Wakefield). Grierson was also formerly equity partner and board member at Donaldsons and chairman of Donaldsons Consulting. He was also a non-executive director in the NHS and is currently member of council at Goldsmiths College.


Ruchit Patel has been appointed antitrust partner in the law firm’s London office. He joins from Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. Patel has particular experience in contentious and non-contentious UK and EU competition law matters.


The equity advisory firm has appointed Andy Chambers and Susie Jana as equity analysts. Chambers joins Edison’s industrials team from Redburn Partners, where he was a senior analyst on its capital goods research team. He has over 30 years’ experience and has also held roles at MF Global Securities, Smith Keen Cutler, Commerzbank Securities and SG Securities. Jana joins Edison’s healthcare team from F&C Investments, where she was director of healthcare, consumer staples and luxury goods. She has 12 years’ experience and has also held roles at Soc Gen and Commerzbank.


The professional services firm has announced several appointments to bolster its hedge fund research and advisory capabilities. Aongus O’Gorman joins from Round Tower Solutions, where he was managing director. He has also held roles at QIC. Victoria Vodolazschi joins from PivotalPath, where she was a consulting strategy specialist. She was also formerly a director of hedge fund investments and co-portfolio manager for Northern Trust Global Advisors. Abbas Alighanbari joins from International Asset Management, where he researched and conducted quantitative and qualitative analysis on hedge fund strategies.


Hazel McNeilage has been appointed managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at the asset management firm. She has more than 30 years’ financial services experience, and her previous positions include head of funds management for a sovereign fund and head of a regional investment consulting business.
