DEARMAN
The technology company has hired Joanne Spick as its new chief financial officer (CFO). She was previously CFO and acting chief executive of the Dylan Group, the specialist steel products firm. She has worked for blue chip companies across the UK and Europe, including ICI, Menzies Aviation and GdF Suez.
ARBUTHNOT LATHAM
The private banking and wealth management arm of the Arbuthnot Banking Group has announced the appointments of Jacqui Davidson-Slack and Andrew Waters as a chartered wealth planner and wealth planning executive respectively. The appointments come as part of the bank’s expansion in the North West.
AXA INVESTMENT MANAGERS
The investment manager has announced the appointment of Rob Barrett as head of institutional sales in the UK. Barrett will oversee the direct sales team. He joins from Invesco Perpetual, where he has spent the past three years in its UK & Ireland institutional sales team. Previous roles include head of UK institutional business at Swisscanto and head of UK sales at HSBC Global Asset Management. Barrett also worked at Axa Investment Managers between 2004 and 2008 as head of European marketing for northern Europe for Axa Rosenberg.
ACCOLADE WINES
The New World wine company has appointed Paul Schaafsma as chief executive officer, succeeding John Ratcliffe, who will become deputy chairman. Schaafsma was formerly the firm’s general manager UK and Ireland.
PINSET MASONS
The law firm has bolstered its expertise in the hotels sector with the appointment of Nick Skea Strachan. He joins from Berwin Leighton Paisner, where he was a partner. Skea Strachan has advised opposite most of the major international hotel chains, including Hilton, Marriot, InterContinental Hotels and Starwood.
KROMEK
The radiation detection technology company has appointed Sir Peter Williams as a non-executive director. Williams has extensive experience in science and engineering, and is current chairman of the Daiwa Anglo Japanese Foundation. He has previously held positions such as chairman and chief executive of Oxford Instruments, senior independent non-executive director of GKN and deputy chief executive of VG Instruments.
