The law firm has appointed Seva Singh as partner in its large loss and technical claims insurance division. He joins from DAC Beachcroft, and specialises in high value personal injury litigation handling.
Octopus Investments
Pete Daffern has been appointed venture partner at the venture capital firm. He joins Octopus with 25 years’ experience, and has previously served as chief executive of ClairMail during its acquisition by Monitise, as chairman and chief executive of Purisma, and was president overseeing business operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and the worldwide global channel at NetSuite.
Legal & General
The financial services group has appointed Andy Humphreys as marketing direction, individual retirement. He joins after Legal & General’s acquisition of equity release provider New Life Home Finance (Newlife). Humphreys was previously director of marketing at Just Retirement, and has also held roles at Lloyds TSB, Oxfam, AMP, Virgin Money, and Commercial Union.
Ashurst
Eric Stuart has been appointed partner in the law firm’s London-based US securities team. He joins from Jones Day, and advises corporates and investment banks on international capital markets and M&A transactions. Stuart has more than 20 years’ experience, and was previously a partner at Ashurst between 2003 and 2011.
TISA
The savings and investments industry membership body has appointed Adrian Boulding as policy strategy director. He was previously pensions strategy director at Legal & General, where he spent more than 18 years.
Pinsent Masons
Elizabeth Budd has been appointed partner in the law firm’s financial regulation group. She joins from Charles Russell Speechlys, where she headed up its financial services practice. Budd specialises in advising asset and fund managers on the UK and EU regulatory landscape.
Savills
Tom Scott has been appointed director in the real estate consultancy’s investment team. He joins from Deloitte Real Estate, having started his career at Drivers Jonas in 2007 before the firms merged in 2010. Scott specialises in the industrial and logistics sector, covering investment and development funding.
