Jan Bratteberg has been appointed head of the investment management firm’s iShares business in the Nordics. He joins from BlackRock’s scientific active equity team, where he was co-head of strategy. Bratteberg has also held roles with Barclays Global Investors.

Bank of Cyprus UK

Nick Fahy has been appointed chief executive of the bank. He joins from Westpac Banking Corporation, where he was state general manager of its retail and business banking operation in Western Australia. Fahy has also held senior roles at Bank of Ireland. In addition, Bank of Cyprus UK has named Soteris Antoniades as deputy chief executive. He has been with the bank since 1990 and was previously assistant chief executive.

Barnett Waddingham

The firm of actuaries and consultants has appointed John Hoskin and Audrey Van Rensburg to its insurance consulting team. Hoskin joins as an associate, advising life insurance companies on unit-linked issues, from Towers Watson. Van Rensburg joins from AIG, and will advise on data and analytics in Barnett Waddingham’s non-life team.

Renaissance Capital

The investment bank has announced several appointments to its global research team. Michael Harris becomes global head of research. He joined the firm in 2014 and has also held senior roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. David Ferguson becomes deputy head of research. He has been at Renaissance Capital for six years. Finally, Francois du Toit joins as an insurance analyst from JP Morgan, where he was executive director and equity research analyst covering the South African life and insurance sectors.


Lucinda Charles Jones has been appointed group HR director at the insurance and asset management firm. She joins from Towergate, where she was group HR director between 2011 and 2014. Charles Jones has also held senior positions at LCJ Associates, Hays, and RAC.


The investment data management firm has appointed Katie Kiss as director of performance analytics. She joins from SS&C Technologies, where she was global solution manager for performance. Kiss also previously spent 10 years as UK head of performance at UBS Global Asset Management.
