Legal & General Property

Richard Poyser has been appointed leasing manager at Legal & General Investment Management’s real assets division, and will be responsible for its Bracknell Town Centre development. He joins from Argent and has also worked at Hammerson.

The Channel Managing Agency

The Lloyd’s managing agency responsible for running The Channel Syndicate has appointed Vinay Mistry as chief risk officer and a member of the board. He joins from Aegis London, where he was head of operations. Mistry has also worked as manager of ratings and investor relations at Lloyd’s, and has held roles at Merrill Lynch Europe and Aviva.

Thomas Miller Investment

The wealth and investment management firm has appointed Bruce Ely-Johnston as business development director to drive the growth of its intermediary and private client propositions. He was previously head of business development at Sanlam Private Investments, and founder and head of adviser solutions at London & Capital. Ely-Johnston has 15 years’ experience in financial services.

Venn Partners

Roger Bright has been appointed chairman of the asset management firm’s subsidiary PRS Operations. He was previously chief executive of The Crown Estate. Bright has also worked as head of the investment business department at the FSA, and has also held roles at the Personal Investment Authority, The Housing Corporation, and the Department of the Environment.

Berwin Leighton Paisner

Jonathan Morris has been appointed corporate departmental managing partner at the law firm. He has been at the firm for nearly 25 years, initially joining Paisner & Co in 2000. Morris was one of the key members helping to expand BLP’s equities capital markets practice.

Baker Tilly

The professional services firm has appointed Richard Heap as an audit partner in its Gatwick office. He joins from Kingston Smith in London, where he led its technology and telecoms sector group and the US desk. Heap also previously spent 12 years at EY and PwC, holding senior roles on secondment at both France Telecom and Cable & Wireless.
