Scuffle near the finish line
AS THE country entered the last few days of General Election campaigning, an street-side scuffle involving Scottish Labour leader Jim Murphy and comedian Eddie Izzard showed there was some drama left in the process.
The two men were heckled at a rally in Glasgow yesterday, with things getting heated between Labour Party supporters and their opponents in the city centre. Izzard and Murphy condemned the protesters, reported to be Scottish nationalist campaigners. Murphy said: “This sort of aggressive nationalism should have no place in our election.”
