Lady Barbara Judge CBE has been appointed as the new chair of the IoD. A trained commercial lawyer, she is currently chair of the Pension Protect Fund and the Energy Institute of UCL, as well as non-executive director of Portmeirion Group.

Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking

Lucy Barton has been appointed as a director in the bank’s Financial Markets business. She joins Lloyd’s Bank Wealth and Foreign Exchange team. Barton began her career with the bank in 2009 on its graduate scheme, before moving to Investec in 2013, where she was responsible for Private Client Foreign Exchange Sales.


Investec Investment Bank and Securities has made two appointments to its closed-end fund team. Paul Locke joins as a senior investment fund analyst. He has previously held roles at Panmure Gordon, HSBC and Canaccord Genuity. Darren Vickers was most recently at Westhouse Securities, and has formerly worked at Charles Stanley Securities.

Sheffield Haworth

The executive search firm has appointed Elizabeth Roberts as a managing director and head of its interim consulting practice in London. Roberts joins from Leathwaite, having previously held senior positions at Swiss Bank Corporation and Deutsche Bank.


The commercial property firm has made three appointments. Andrew Barnes has been appointed head of central London tenant representation; Charlie Wade joins as a director from JLL’s Palo Alto division. Alexander Low joins as head of client development. He was most recently at Berwin Leighton Paisner.


The Aim-listed African gold producer has appointed Gerard Kisbey-Green as an executive director. He previously held management positions at Rand Mines Group and Anglo American Corporation.

Mirae Asset Management

Mirae Asset Global Investments has announced the appointment of Sander van Ouwerkerk as head of Benelux and Nordic Sales. He has previously worked at Dimensional Fund Advisers and Acadian Asset Management. At the latter, he was vice president and Director of business Development.
