Cohn & Wolfe

The communications agency has appointed Helen Ridgway as chief executive of technology agency AxiCom, which it acquired seven years ago. Cohn & Wolfe, in turn, is part of WPP. Ridgway co-founded AxiCom 20 years ago. Her client base includes Tyco and Microsoft Devices Group.

Insight Investment

Shankar Athreya has been appointed head of Farmland Investments. Athreya was previously global head of strategy and business development at Olam International. He will be based in London.

Marsh & Parsons

The London estate agency has appointed Helen Sachdev as chief operating officer. She joins from Barclays where she was most recently a managing director. She has also worked for Sainsbury’s and Tesco.


The provider of cloud services for video has appointed Neil Lieberman as chief marketing officer. Lieberman has previously held several senior and leadership roles, with firms including VFA, AT&T and Interwise.

Yorkshire Building Society

Alison Hutchinson has been appointed non-executive director by the building society. The former senior executive of IBM has over 20 years’ experience within the financial services and technology sectors.


The specialist listed Lloyd’s insurer has appointed Alexandra Moon as group general counsel. Moon joins from RSA, where she spent seven years in a number of senior roles. Prior to that, she was with Allen & Overy and Travers Smith.

Indexx Markets

The investment company has appointed two non-executive directors to its board. Steve Thomas is professor of finance at Cass Business School, and Simon Brickles was previously chief executive of Plus Markets Group (now ISDX) and head of Aim at the London Stock Exchange.


The property firm has appointed Richard Cotton as chairman. Cotton has been managing director of Forum Partners since 2009, and was previously head of real estate at JP Morgan Cazenove. He has also been non-executive director of Hansteen and Big Yellow Group.
