The law firm has announced the appointment of Charles Bezzant as partner. He will be heading up its real estate finance team, and joins from Reed Smith, where he qualified in 2000. Bezzant’s practice covers all finance aspects of property investment and development transactions.

RBC Global Asset Management

Royal Bank of Canada’s asset management arm has appointed Nicole Vettise as institutional portfolio manager in its London-based business development team. She joins from JP Morgan Asset Management, where she was executive director and lead client portfolio manager for its natural resources strategies and global thematic equity funds. Vettise has also held roles at Credit Suisse Private Banking, Fleming Asset Management and Jardine Fleming.

Panmure Gordon

The stockbroker has announced several appointments to its research and corporate broking teams. Jonathan Leinster joins as consumer analyst from UBS, where he was most recently a managing director. Mike Stewart joins as retail analyst. He began his career at Shore Capital. Erik Anderson joins Panmure’s corporate broking team. He has previously held senior positions at Investec, Canaccord Genuity and Espirito Santo.

Boodle Hatfield

The law firm has announced the appointment of Salpy Kouyoumjian as partner in its private client and tax team. She joins from Baker & McKenzie, where she was a partner.

Barnett Waddingham

The firm of actuaries and consultants has announced two appointments to its insurance consulting team. David Hughes joins as an associate from Marsh, where he was head of analytics. Jody Glennie joins as an associate from PwC’s actuarial and insurance management solutions team.

Vestra Wealth

The wealth management firm has appointed three new investment managers. William Boyd-Carpenter joins from UBS Wealth Management, where he was a director and client adviser. Tom Wicks was previously an executive director and senior discretionary portfolio manager at Julius Baer. Geraldine Napier was a portfolio manager at Julius Baer, formerly Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.
