Lloyds Bank

Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has appointed Allen Appen as head of financial institutions capital and asset backed solutions. He joins from Barclays, where he was most recently head of financial institutions capital markets for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Mole Valley Asset Management

The investment management firm has appointed Andrew Holder as finance director and portfolio manager. He joins from Berenberg Capital Markets in the US, where he was president and chief executive. Holder has also held senior roles at JP Morgan and SG Cowen, and started his career at Cazenove & Co.

Shepherd & Wedderburn

The law firm has announced the appointment of two international arbitration partners in its commercial dispute resolution team in London. Jane Wessel and Claire Stockford both join from Crowell & Moring.


Simon Pilkington has been appointed partner in the professional services firm’s strategy advisory team, focusing on defence, security and intelligence work. He is an experienced transaction adviser and joins from PwC, where he co-led its aerospace and defence practice.


Man Group’s discretionary investment management business has appointed Moni Sternbach to its European long short team. He joins from Cheyne Capital, where he was lead manager of the Cheyne European mid cap long short strategies. Sternbach has also previously held roles at Gartmore Investment Management, Bank of America and Deloitte.


The real estate focused investment management and professional services firm has appointed Eric Pang to lead its UK markets group China desk. He joins from JLL’s China office, and has over 18 years’ experience establishing and maintaining relationships with Chinese institutions, investors, occupiers and developers.

Bordier (UK)

Roberto Islas has been appointed head of the international desk at the asset management firm. He joins from HSBC Private Bank, where he was involved in the international and resident non-domiciled markets. Islas has also held roles at RBC and Citigroup.
