MIDFIELDER Ander Herrera’s superb dipping volley helped Manchester United navigate a tricky FA Cup tie at third-tier Yeovil Town and reach the fourth round.

Substitute Angel di Maria raced clear to clinch a hard-fought 2-0 victory for the top-flight side in stoppage time.

Stoke needed three goals in the last 10 minutes to come from behind at home to non-league Wrexham. Mark Carrington’s header gave the visitors a shock lead but Marko Arnautovic equalised and Stephen Ireland earned victory with two late strikes.

Southampton face a replay at Ipswich after being held to a 1-1 draw by the Championship team. Darren Ambrose headed the Tractor Boys in front and although Morgan Schneiderlin soon equalised the hosts could not turn their superior possession into goals.

Ex-Chelsea defender Patrick van Aanholt’s goal earned Sunderland a 1-0 win over Leeds, while striker Christian Benteke snatched Aston Villa a late victory by the same scoreline against Blackpool.
