Simon Turner has been appointed director of business planning at the IFA, pensions and employee benefits consultancy. He was previously regional head of financial planning for the northern region at Grant Thornton. Turner has 25 years’ experience in financial services.

Jones Day

The law firm has announced the appointment of 42 partners, with three in London. Kathryn L West focuses on commercial real estate. Emily Stew represents financial institutions, private equity funds, alternative capital providers, and corporate borrowers on debt and structured finance transactions. David Fricker has experience in a wide range of financing transactions.

Gide

The law firm has announced the appointment of two equity partners. Capucine Bernier is a member of its insurance, industrial risk and transport practice. Jean-François Levraud is a member of Gide’s real estate transactions and financing practice group.

Cordea Savills

Cristiano Ronchi has been named head of investment, Italy, at the property investment management firm. He was previously director of investments at Cordea Savills, Milan, and joined the firm in 2005 as portfolio manager for pan-European funds. Ronchi has also held positions at McArthurGlen and EY.

Gibson Dunn

Stephen Gillespie has been appointed partner in the law firm’s London office. A finance lawyer, he joins from Kirkland & Ellis International’s London office, where he was senior partner in its European debt finance practice. Gillespie was also formerly co-head of the global banking practice at Allen & Overy.

Barrington Hibbert Associates

The talent acquisition firm has appointed Russell Clements as a non-executive director. He was formerly chief executive of recruitment firm SThree Group.

Town Centre Securities

The property investment and development firm has appointed two non-executive directors. Ian Marcus has held investment banking positions at Credit Suisse First Boston and Bank of America, among others. Paul Huberman was formerly finance director at Grantchester Holdings, and Asda Property Holdings.
