Silicon Valley Bank

The bank has appointed Wibke Pendse as managing director of private equity finance and banking for the UK. She transfers from Silicon Valley Bank in the US, which she joined in 2010. Pendse has also held roles at Square 1 Bank and Comerica Bank.

Old Mutual Global Investors

The asset manager has appointed Diamond Lee as portfolio manager in its Asian equities team. He joins from Ignis Asset Management, where he managed Asian equity funds. Lee has also held positions at Scottish Amicable Investment Managers and KPMG.

Lincoln Private Investment Office

Ross Elder, Fred Hervey, and Becky Robbins, all former executives at Berenberg Bank, have announced the launch of a new wealth management company. Elder will serve as its managing partner, Hervey as chief investment officer, and Robbins as chief operating officer. Lincoln’s investment advisory board includes Hugh Sloane of Sloane Robinson, Dipankar Shewaram, formerly of BlueBay Asset Management, and Alan Carruthers, formerly of JP Morgan Cazenove.

LOC Consulting

Tim Kempster has been appointed director at the management consultancy, where he will be responsible for the commercial strategy of the 100,000 Genome Project. He was previously director of strategy for NHS Property Services.

Lombard Odier Investment Managers

The asset management firm has appointed Mats Langensjö to expand its advisory offering to insurance and pensions industry clients, with a focus on the Nordic region. Based in London, he was most recently chief executive of Brummer Life Insurance Company. Langensjö has also held senior roles at Unicredit Group, Aon Consulting Worldwide, Mercer and Goldman Sachs.

Investec Wealth & Investment

The wealth management firm has appointed three senior investment directors. Rob Jones, Darren Elmes, and Steve Hart all join from Barclays Wealth, where they were directors and long-term colleagues.

Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co

The energy investment bank has appointed Martin Houston as chairman of TPH International. He is a former chief operating officer of BG Group, which he joined in the early 1980s. Houston has also held roles at Bupa, Parallax Energy, and Pine Brook Road Partners.
