Today is Thanksgiving - and even if you're not surrounded by the warm glow of familial love, there are places to celebrate it in the capital.
Whether you want to tuck into some turkey, pick at a pumpkin pie, or simply give thanks over a festive cocktail, there are dozens of London bars, pubs and restaurants putting on events.
Here are our top five choices for where to spend the hearty American holiday in central London.
HOUSE OF WOLF

What: Describing itself as a “three-story Victorian lair”, this dining, drinking and entertainment venue will knock up a Thanksgiving special from 7.30pm to midnight. It will involve a London-spin on the American classic, with piles of autumnal treats to pick at.
Where: Upper Street, Islington.
Why: Has a young and lively atmosphere. Particularly good for those who enjoy art and live music.
How much: £30 per person.
THE BLUES KITCHEN

What: With its live blues and BBQ food, this venue is feels like it's in the Deep South at the best of times. But on the 27th, between 7pm and 1am, it invites you to get stuck into a traditional Thanksgiving menu.
Where: Camden High Street
Why: There will be a special performance from The Untouchables, described as “the finest in Chicago blues”, as well as DJs afterwards.
How much: £29.95 per adult - booking in advance is necessary
THE TRUSCOTT ARMS

What: Starting from midday, there will be champagne and sharing platters of roast turkey, roast potatoes and cranberry maple jelly. With a Texan-born owner, it's no wonder the gastropub puts on a great show for thanksgiving.
Where: Shirland Road, Maida Vale
Why: It appeared in Michelin's 2015 pub guide. Also offers an alternative for vegetarians.
How much: £40 per adult and £20 per child
THE BIG EASY, CHELSEA

What: Loved for its American cuisine all year round, on the 27th it will go that extra mile by adding a thanksgiving party menu to the mix. “Served family style,” it includes such treats as pumpkins soup, pit smoked turkey and fresh baked pumpkin pie.
Where: King's Road, Chelsea
Why: Easygoing atmosphere and huge portions. It also well-known for its cocktails.
How much: £30 per person

What: A restaurant specialising in southern US cuisine, The Lockhart knows what it means to whip up a proper thanksgiving feast. It's a little more expensive than the others on the list, but no more than would be expected according to its normal prices.
Where: Seymour Place, Marylebone
Why: If you can't make it for the evening, it offers a £40 lunch alternative which still includes all the holiday favourites
