The business advisory firm has announced two appointments to its hedge fund practice. Chris Farkas (pictured) joins as UK hedge fund leader. He was European head of hedge fund consulting in Deutsche Bank’s prime brokerage group, and has also held senior roles at GlobeOp and Goldman Sachs. Brian Forrester, a partner with Deloitte in Ireland, becomes hedge fund leader for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Dipesh Patel has been appointed head of cash equities Europe at the financial services group. He joins from Espirito Santo Investment Bank, where he was head of equities, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Patel has also held senior roles at Execution Noble, Merrill Lynch and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.
The investment banking boutique has announced the appointment of Sir Nigel Knowles as chairman. Knowles currently holds the position of global co-chief executive and managing partner at DLA Piper, the law firm.
Jamie Gavin has been appointed head of institutional OTC clearing sales for the UK at the multi-asset brokerage and clearing firm. He was previously executive director of operations and global head of change for listed derivatives and OTC clearing at Morgan Stanley. Gavin started his career at Goldman Sachs.
The potash development company has appointed Rachel Rhodes as chief financial officer. She was most recently chief financial officer at London Mining, and has also held roles at Anglo American.
Alan Owens has been appointed partner in the law firm’s commercial litigation team. He joins from the London office of Morrison & Foerster, where he was a partner. Owen advises on UK and cross-border commercial litigation cases.
The real-estate focused professional services firm has announced four appointments to its Central London office agency team. They include Lois Fletcher, who joins from Gerald Eve, Hannah Fearnley, who joins as a director, Michael Davis, and Chris Valentine, who joins as an associate director.
