Senthil Alagar has been appointed managing director in the professional services firm’s restructuring and turnaround team in London. He joins from Barclays, where he headed its UK & Ireland business support restructuring team. Alagar has also held roles at Bank of Scotland, PwC and EY.

M&G Real Estate
Steven Hollands has been appointed residential investment manager at M&G’s real estate fund management arm. He joins from Deloitte Real Estate, where he advised on regeneration and development projects.

UHY Hacker Young
Subarna Banerjee has been appointed audit partner and chair of the accountancy firm’s charity and not-for-profit group. He joins from Grant Thornton, where he was an audit director specialising in charities, education and pension schemes. Banerjee has also worked at EY.

Taylor Wessing
The law firm has announced the appointment of two partners to its private client practice. Elaine Dobson joins as head of residential property from Bircham Dyson Bell, where she leads its residential real estate group. Antoaneta Proctor joins from Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co.

Sarasin & Partners
Mark Julio has been appointed as a fund manager in the asset management firm’s global thematic equity fund management team. He joins from Ignis Asset Management, where he was a portfolio manager for global emerging market equities. Julio has also previously held portfolio manager and equity research roles at Baring Asset Management and HSBC Global Banking and Markets respectively.

Irwin Mitchell
The law firm has announced the appointment of Ayesha Hasan as a real estate partner in its London office. She joins from Locke Lord, where she was a partner in its real estate department. Hasan has also held positions at Berwin Leighton Paisner.

The engineering design firm has announced three appointments to its UK and Ireland rail practice. Simon Pimblett joins from Parsons Brinckerhoff as permanent way design manager. David Hubbuck has been appointed telecoms lead. Gary Hicks joins as electrification lead from Hyder Consulting.
