Electra dips in third quarter
ELECTRA, the listed private equity group, yesterday said the total value of its investments declined slightly in the third quarter.
The group, which is currently fighting off advances by activist investor Ed Bramson, said the diluted net asset per share declined 0.1 per cent for the three months ending June to 2,910p.
The value of Electra’s portfolio of company investments fell by £11m over the period, predominately due to currency fluctuations. Overall, it spent £124m on new companies and sold £47m worth of company investments. Chairman Roger Yates said the group was “very well positioned” to deliver “superior” returns for investors.
