BlackRock get Carney’s No.2
THE WORLD’S biggest fund manager BlackRock has appointed a former understudy to Mark Carney to its London research unit.
Jean Boivin, deputy governor of the Bank of Canada during Carney’s tenure, will join BlackRock in September as deputy chief investment strategist. He will work at BlackRock’s London HQ; just around the corner from Carney’s office at the Bank of England
Boivin was most recently associate deputy finance minister in Canada.
